Vudu iPhone App: Exciting times for movie buffs

vudu-iphone-appVudu has recently released a new application for the iPhone and iPod Touch. This straightforward application allows you to browse through Vudu’s catalog and rent or buy your favorite movies. All using your iPhone and your Vudu account. Right now this application is provided free of charge and is probably a good marketing move by the company to boost their sales. But isn’t this a direct competition to the iTunes movie store? I wonder how Apple approved this app!
