Hard disk drives which fit your pocket literally

Submitted by newgadgetsguru on March 12, 2009 – 8:32 pmNo Comment

apricorn-pocket-size-hddApricorn has recently released some cool looking HDDs which are small enough to fit your pocket. It definitely seems that the trend is going towards smaller HDDs with larger capacities. The 1.8-inch external not only packs as much as 240GB of storage space but it’s small enough that you can slide it into your front pants pocket.

Not only is the device small but its equally light too – it just weighs 3.7 ounces. Furthermore it is shock mounted for those rough users. There is no need for an external power adapter and can be easily powered by your USB port or FireWire port. The thing that we like about this HDD is that there is an in built USB cable which can be wrapped around the HDD itself. It certainly looks like it was designed keeping portability in mind. The USB drives are priced at $149, $189 and $269 for the 80GB, 120GB and 240GB, respectively. The FireWire models go for $10 more than their USB counterparts. Now you can fit these HDDs in your pocket and keep your wallet intact too!
